What VELRA GEO measures
VELRA GEO evaluates the parts of a website that most directly affect discoverability, clarity, implementation quality, and downstream visibility. The platform focuses on practical, fixable inputs rather than vague "AI readiness" claims.
Technical Accessibility
Crawlability, indexing blockers, response issues, broken paths, robots.txt configuration for 14 AI crawlers, and technical conditions that can prevent pages from being found or used correctly.
Content Clarity & Extractability
Whether the main answer is easy to identify, whether structure is readable, whether key information is available in text rather than hidden in layout, images, or weak formatting. Includes 4-layer analysis: Structure, Data Richness, Extractability, Freshness.
Context & Entity Coverage
Whether pages provide enough supporting context, related concepts, and connected subtopics to answer real user questions clearly. Measured via NER analysis and competitive entity comparison.
Structured Data Consistency
Whether structured data (JSON-LD schema), page content, and page purpose align cleanly and avoid mismatches or weak implementations. Covers FAQ, Organization, Article, Product, Breadcrumb, HowTo, Review schema types.
Visibility & Monitoring Signals
Brand and page appearance across tracked AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Claude, Copilot), citation patterns, sentiment, and changes over time.

Not every check in VELRA GEO carries the same type of evidence. We organize our methodology into three clear layers:

How to interpret GEO Score
GEO Score is an internal prioritization model, not a Google metric. It helps teams quickly understand where a page or site may need attention across multiple dimensions.
GEO Score is for prioritization, not prediction
It is designed to answer:
- Where are the biggest weaknesses?
- Which issues affect the most important pages?
- Which fixes are most worth shipping first?
It is NOT designed to say:
- "This page will rank"
- "This page will be cited by AI"
- "This page will appear in AI Overviews"

These weights reflect our internal prioritization model based on testing across 500+ websites. They are not Google signals. Technical SEO receives the highest weight because access issues block everything downstream — if AI bots can't crawl your site, no other optimization matters.
Score bands
- 86-100 (Grade A) — Strong foundation, mostly refinement needed
- 71-85 (Grade B) — Solid but with clear gaps worth fixing
- 51-70 (Grade C) — Mixed quality, meaningful improvements needed
- 31-50 (Grade D) — Significant weaknesses affecting clarity and access
- 0-30 (Grade F) — High-priority issues likely blocking discovery entirely
How VELRA prioritizes issues
Not all issues deserve the same level of attention. VELRA GEO ranks issues using a practical prioritization model so teams can focus on changes most likely to improve site quality.
Each issue is prioritized based on:
- Impact — how much the issue may affect usability, clarity, or discoverability
- Page importance — whether the affected page matters to revenue, traffic, or strategic visibility
- Scale — how many pages are affected
- Effort — how difficult the fix is likely to be
- Confidence— how strong the platform's recommendation is for that issue type
Priority labels
Fix immediately. High impact, usually quick. Examples: robots.txt blocking AI bots, missing SSL, broken canonicals.
Fix this week. Significant improvement expected. Examples: missing FAQ schema, no answer blocks, entity gaps on key pages.
Fix when capacity allows. Incremental improvement. Examples: missing author schema, breadcrumb markup, internal link gaps.
Monitor, fix during content refresh cycles. Examples: HowTo schema, review markup, comparison content opportunities.
How the Fix Engine generates outputs
VELRA GEO does not stop at detection. For each issue type, the platform generates action-ready outputs:
1. Recommendation outputs
Clear explanation of the issue, why it matters, and what should change. Every fix item includes context so your team understands why — not just what.
2. Code outputs
Deployable files and code blocks: robots.txt patches, JSON-LD schema, llms.txt files, HTML answer blocks, .htaccess rules, XML sitemap updates. Copy-paste ready for your CMS or server.
3. Workflow outputs
Export to Jira, Asana, Linear, Notion, Slack, or CSV. Each ticket includes severity, effort estimate, assignee role (dev / content / SEO), and the exact code diff or content recommendation.

Generated fixes are implementation aids. They should still be reviewed by your team before publishing or deployment.
How we treat llms.txt
VELRA GEO can generate llms.txt as an optional machine-readable asset. It helps LLMs like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude understand your brand more accurately.
- Optional, not required — llms.txt is NOT required for Google AI features (AI Overviews, AI Mode). Google Search Central confirms standard SEO best practices remain the foundation.
- Useful for the broader LLM ecosystem — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and other LLMs can use llms.txt to better understand your brand, products, and key pages.
- Not a substitute for strong content — llms.txt supplements good site structure and content quality. It does not replace it.
- Early ecosystem asset — The llmstxt.org specification is relatively new. We generate it because we believe it will become increasingly useful as the LLM ecosystem matures, but we present it as what it is: an optional supporting asset.
Limits and interpretation notes
VELRA GEO helps teams make better decisions, but some forms of search visibility remain partially opaque, dynamic, or outside direct publisher control.
- Citation and visibility patterns may change over time without warning
- Third-party AI experiences may not expose full attribution data
- Some outputs are heuristic recommendations, not direct reflections of how a search engine ranks a page
- Improvements in page quality do not always produce immediate visibility changes
- Monitoring data should be interpreted alongside traffic, conversions, and business outcomes
- AI engine responses can vary by user location, session, and model version
